"Wooded surrounds, ocean, good assistant Mgr, but u need to inform how long drive on dirt bumpy road is. Also our room wasn't prepared for us so we had to stay in another room which was being used and also not clean."

"Unfortunately lack of good management of the lodge forced us to cut our well-deserved annual holiday short! The chalets were poorly maintained with no hot water in the kitchen, dirty shower, chipped walls and generally in poor repair. The resort was open to the public for day visitors with no regard to how many people could be accommodated, no rules regarding loud music (window rattling music played at 6am) and inadequate toilet facilities to accommodate the day visitors. The lack of care taken by the management to ensure that paying guests were able to enjoy the supposed peace and quiet of the area was shocking. We will certainly not be back and will not recommend the facility to anyone. <br />"

"What a gloriously unspoilt and pristine hidden gem of nature! Endless beaches, cows grazing so close you can touch them and nights by the fire...this is one of those places you wish will stay hidden to retain its natural and rustic atmosphere. Woody Cape will certainly see me again."

  • "One night chalet stay"

    11 July 2015

"Woody Cape Backpackers is situated in an unbelievably beautiful location with forest , dunes and sea surrounds. One expects only basic amenities at a backpackers butat least expected more than we got. We were in Loerie chalet and there was mould in the shower and no duvet on one of the beds - only a duvet cover and the night was cold. The kettle took around 20 minutes to boil. Che and John were pleasant and helpful and did offer to switch our accommodation at no extra charge on our way back. We did not stop there on the way back as the grand children were unwell."

"Wonderful setting close to the beach and Alexandria forest. Self-catering units need some maintenance particularly the bathrooms."

"What a long, longgggggg way to travel more then the 45min that was said but a beautiful place with a lot of cleaning to do. Spider webs are not cool or nice and its everywhere prepared to spend a quite day relaxing with flies everywhere like a fly fram spoiling the day. Don't talk about the spider webs al over the place its like you are in a spiders nest. The beach was sepouce 5min away with a walkway like that its more, getting there its a mission but its beautiful the beach to yourself, now you have to get back being tied of playing in the water going back on that trail again its to match. Just wished the info I received and the reality was the same because they are 100% different."
