Mogalakwena River Lodge will make you sense the ultimate feeling of tranquillity and enjoy an intimate experience. Located in the Limpopo River Valley on the banks of the Mogalakwena River, this holistic African safari camp provides access to the great splendour of the bushveld.

The River lodge caters for sixteen guests in 4 unique deluxe Main Lodge Rooms and 4 luxurious Private Chalets overlooking the river. The Lodge features include a lower and upper viewing deck facing the river, open dining and lounge areas, a swimming pool and a bar around a central open fireplace.
The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need: air-conditioning or fans for hot African afternoons, king/queen sized beds, en-suite bathroom with shower and/or bath, tea/coffee.

The lodge offers accompanied game drives, wildlife walks and bird watching. There is a Research Centre providing fascinating visual and scientific data on the surroundings as well as participation in ongoing research projects.
Within walking distance is the Craft Art Village and Artist's Retreat which is open for creative activities, tours and quality shopping.
All of the activities are tailored to suit guest requirements.

There is a well-equipped conference and functions venue for executive conferences and private functions.
Mogalakwena is also a unique venue for weddings, conferences and special celebrations.

"The food, accommodation and animals practically a foot away from you. The giraffe came so close to us and around the rooms. You could take long walks and enjoy a drink by the river. Such a nice weekend break. The staff were amazing and the food superb. Clean rooms and a wonderful way to celebrate our wedding anniversary."

Anna and her side-kick Linah, did their utmost to make us comfortable and welcome! "Unfortunately, our long awaited stay at Mogalakwena was interrupted by my father falling off his motorcycle and breaking his leg just 5 km from the lodge on our first day. The hospitality and selfishless attitude of the staff was fantastic. They arranged for all our luggage, personal belongs and two motorcycles to be stored on the premises, whilst a staff member (Jandre) drove us the 200 kms to Polokwane for further medical assistance. We were met by Anna, the manger of the lodge, where she helped get my father booked and attended to. I would like to thank Anna, Jandre, Chris and Will for being the most amazing and humble people I have ever met, you guys helped without question and without thought. It made the situation so much easier. Thank you guys, and thank you for allowing us to move our accommodation dates, so we can actually enjoy your awesome lodge in the near future."

"The place is tranquil and gives an experience of bush life. It is the best place for a retreat from the bustle and hustle of busy city life. However one who goes there should be prepared to keep company with mosquitoes. The temperatures are quite high. It would help if mosquito repellents were also available and fans in all the rooms at Artist retreat."
