Hampton Court Guest House

Hampton Court Guest House opened its doors in 2007, offering eight stylish en-suite bedrooms which are tastefully decorated in crisp whites to combine charm with convenience. Situated in Auckland Park, we are conveniently close to the Melville shopping mall, restaurants and a mere 600 m from the University of Johannesburg.

The en-suite rooms are newly decorated and equipped, with a fine attention to detail and with the comfort of guests in mind. All bedrooms have TVs, electric blankets and tea and coffee facilities, as well as complimentary sherry and chocolates. Our relaxed yet stylish atmosphere combined with our ideal location has ensured that many guests have become frequent visitors. We boast a magnificent outdoor covered patio where many guests prefer to enjoy breakfast or an evening drink.

"We booked with this establishment for business travellers. We booked 3 suites. We paid in full the Friday before our guests arrived the Sunday. When our guest arrived there, given they were early, they were made to pay again. A mistake that can easily happen. However then they were informed that they would not stay at the Hampton Court Guest House but would be moved to a guest house in Melville, as there were guests in Hampton Court that wanted to stay longer. (We made this booking weeks in advance). I was in contact with the guest house on Friday, and at no point did anyone mention this to me. The guest were moved to a guest house in Melville, some 3km downhill, while we specifically booked Hampton Court because it was walking distance from their conference. Yes, the guest house then provided transport after I asked how the guest should now get to the conference. The guests were placed in a standard room and a family room, were at Hampton Court there would have been 3 en-suite rooms. The one toilet was not working and the other toilets light was not working and they got a candle. When I book a specific guest house, I expect to stay at a specific guest house, not get shoved away to another guest house, that is not even owned by this guest house. What an embarrassment."
