Why Not Guest Lodge

On the N12, approximately 10 min (13.6km) from the Bloemhof Dam is WhyNot Restaurant & Guest Lodge. This stunning Historical building offers Chalets and mouth-watering meals.

Our 57 en-suite thatched Chalets consists of 28 Air-conditioned Chalets at WhyNot Restaurant & Guest Lodge (80 Prince Street) and 29 Chalets with fans at WhyNot Rustique (2 Joubert Street). All Standard, Self-catering & Superior Chalets consists of Coffee / Tea facilities and Dstv. There is complimentary WiFi located at selected chalets, WhyNot Restaurant & Pub.

Safe parking is available in front of the chalets or at the parking area, on the premises with electric fencing and security cameras.

The WhyNot Restaurant & Guest Lodge offers warm-loving service to all our guests. From the moment guests step through WhyNots doors, guests immediately become WhyNots Family.

WhyNots Restaurant & Pub (Prince Street) offers mouth-watering a la carte menus and is fully licensed. We strive to cater to any preference and even provide Take-Away meals (between 07:00 and 21:00) and Buffets.
WhyNot Pub consists of big screen, darts and pool tables.

WhyNot Restaurant & Guest Lodge also offers: conference facilities (6), braai areas and conference hall (2) with air-conditioning. The Lapa with swimming pools, trampoline, sandpit and swings, are the main attraction for the young and the young at heart.

Bloemhof Dam or Sandveld Nature Reserve is a great choice for travelers interested in sightseeing, fishing and game drives.

    "Though the service at the establishment was very friendly, we will not be making use of their facilities again should we visit Bloemhof in the future. A few reasons why not:-Overpriced: The facilities in rooms and quality of finish is not what one would expect given the price.-TV: Advertised as having a working DSTV, this was not the case."

    "We only got to the venue in the morning as we got a breakdown at Hopstad and only managed to be helped at 02:00. The standard was not what we are used to but we did sleep. My opinion could have been affected by the cockroach I saw on checking in and the fact that I could not find space for parking. Judging from the fullness it appears it is a popular spot. We could not eat breakfast because they only open at 8 on weekends. We could not iron our clothes because the staff only come at 8."
