"After a relaxing and scenic drive up to the lodge, we were warmly greeted by the head chef Ed, followed by a delicious dinner at the restaurant as we watched the last light disappear over the horizon. With our bellies full, we took our car up the rocky mountain side to our tent. The unit was clean and wonderfully furnished. The staff even heated our wood-fire tub before our arrival, and we promptly jumped in for an amazing hot soak under the stars; a very memorable moment. The whole weekend was a delight; we went for walks, fished in the dam, had a few drinks at the restaurant (which were very cheap), and generally lazed around enjoying the scenery. For a quiet and relaxing getaway, the tents are a great choice. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the small extras like the rusks, tea and milk were much appreciated. Despite the luxury furnishings, you'll still be camping out in the fynbos, so if tents aren't appealing to you, then the log cabins might be a better choice. However, considering that our accommodation is essentially a tent, the standard is excellent. Overall, the hospitality was excellent, the food superb and the accommodation especially comfortable. After saying our heartfelt thanks to Ed on our departure, I knew I'll definitely be coming back again soon."
