Middeldam Plaashuis

This is a charming old farmhouse that is tastefully renovated and a sure treat for a friend and/or family farm escape. The Oregon floors and ceilings and old sash windows are still in place. It promises to be the perfect getaway; Experience freedom on the farm; It might even feel like you own this piece of land... The house has four bedrooms, TWO shared bathrooms (one with shower&bath; the other with shower), a fully equipped kitchen with a built-in braai, and an open-plan living area with a TV. All the rooms have bed linen and towels. There is a spacious patio with lovely views across the Overbergs rolling hills. There is also an outdoor fire pit known as "Die Kraal".Activities on the farm include hiking trails. There is an enclosed lawn area for kids to play and run around on. The farm is the perfect base from which to explore the De Hoop Nature Reserve, Malgas, Arniston, Bredasdorp and L'Agulhas.

"The beds were outstandingly comfortable, the house was tastefully decorated...it felt like home. Showers lovely. One of the best equipped kitchens we have ever used while away. It was really lovely to get such peronalized care from Kobus and Heidi who clearly care about this beautiful place. Best were the sunrises, sunsets, the birds and the beautiful Blue Cranes."

"Our family really enjoyed staying at Middledam. Everyone was pleasantly surprised when we got to the place. The house was clean. The hosts were absolutely lovely. The peace and quiet of the area was quite enjoyable and the ample open land was a hit with the children. It was a good base for us as we toured around the area. Highly recommended! <br/><br/>Thanks again for the freshly baked bread and jam when we arrived!"

"The Middeldam farmhouse is a lovely find. It is set with vast fields in front of the house filled with sheep, blue cranes, buck and lush grass. The house itself is cosy with a fire place in the kitchen, comfortable beds and lovely white linen. Checking in and out was very smooth and straight forward. We had a great weekend on the farm!"
