Wheatlands Lodge

Wheatlands Lodge is a beautifully restored and well appointed home which is set in a peaceful and private garden. We offer five en-suite bedrooms, quality service and a variety of delicious breakfasts to choose from with dinner on request and picnic hampers for day trips.

Wheatlands Lodge provides is an ideal base from which to explore the southernmost tip of Africa at LAgulhas, the beaches at Struisbaai or Arniston, the beautiful towns of Swellendam and Napier, or the abundant bird and wildlife in one of the nearby nature reserves. For more energetic outings try hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and eco-quad biking, as well as golf, squash and tennis. The lodge is a short walk from a number of excellent local coffee shops and restaurants with secure off-street parking for all guests provided.

"It was such a pleasure to stay with Wheatlands Lodge. We got tea and coffee as a welcome drink and were allowed to choose our rooms ourselves. We got a lot of tips what to do, where to eat, where to go and they even informed us about the current road conditions etc. It was so lovely, thank you very much!"

"We had a fantastic two days stay at the Wheatlands Lodge during our traveling from Kaapstad to Knysna. It is a very charm full house with a history, Very nicely restored and maintained, beautifully decorated and designed. It breaths a very cosy, homely atmosphere, but above all: Janet and Donald are such wonderful people. Perfect hosts, interesting personalities and lovely and warm to meet and chat with. They are for ever in our memories as is the superb and unique breakfast they provided us with. The must stay in Bredasdorp, for sure!"

"I was fortunate to enjoy an excellent four nights at Wheatlands in the second week of December 2011. The rooms are very clean, roomy and have lovely beds and bedding. Generally, the lodge provides a quite, relaxed atmosphere allowing one privacy and a peaceful night's rest. The hosts are most accommodating, catering for all one's needs and exude hospitality. The breakfasts are super and healthy, with freshly baked bread every morning! At the price, excellent value-for-money as far as a bed and breakfast goes."
