  "Lovely cottage with decor true to the old Karoo farm style.The cottage had exactly all we needed for our stay and we could even prepare our "padkos"for the next day. We loved the serenity of the farm and climbed the koppie behind the buildings from where we had a lovely view of the farm."

  "We as a family had a fantastic sleep over on our way to Johannesburg via Kimberley at the Rietpoort Guest House. After a long drive from Kleinond, we could cool of in the swimmingpool, relax with a braai and climb the "koppies" for an amazing Northern Cape sunset after 8pm! The service and facilities at Rietpoort Guest House is a 5 star treat! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful farm with us!"

  "Di-Di the hostess of Rietpoort, really went out her way to make our overnight stay 5-Star. On arrival we found sufficient firewood, and a heated aircon - which was most welcome as the temp was 8 degrees. There was rusks and muffins for the next morning. The cottage was absolutely spotless. All my wife and I can say is thank you and we highly recommend this as a stopover or longer stay. Those who worry about a sand road - well don't it is in good condition and over before you know it started."

  "Ariving quite late in the evening is usually disruptive to all. Rietpoort met us and we were quickly settled in and ready to relax. The fireplace and comfortable environment made you quickly forget about the further required traveling for the next day. Thanks for a great evening and we will definitely visit again!"

  "Rietpoort Guest House is one the most beautiful guest houses that we have ever stayed at. It is located on an old Karoo farm with all the beautiful sites that one could expect from such a farm. Added to this is the great warmth with which one is welcomed on the farm and the attention to detail in every aspect of your stay. The freshly baked warm bread delivered to us at dinner time is an example of the attention and hospitality that one gets from Petro and Bassie. This guest house comes highly recommended!"

  "Baie dankie aan die Raath's vir hulle gasvryheid. Ons het heerlik gekuier, en sal graag weer in die toekoms van die gastehuis gebruik maak. Die huisie het volop spasie (baie lekker vir die kinders na 'n lang dag op die pad), en is baie mooi uitgerus. Die kaggel was heerlik op die koue aand, en die aandete uit die boonste rakke. Beslis aan te beveel. Thank you to the Raath's for their hospitality. We had an enjoyable stay and would love to make use of the guest house in future. The house is very spacious (perfect for the kids after a long day on the road) and is beautifully equipped. The fireplace was lovely on the cold nigh and dinner of the highest standard. Definitely recommended."

  "As I booked this venue for a sleep over on the way to Johannesburg, I was not too sure that it actually existed. I was however more than pleasantly surprised by the crisp, fresh countryside as well as the clean and neat accommodation. I really enjoyed the hospitality and precise detail with which we were welcomed. This is a definite 'must do again' situation and we will definitely make use of this facility again in the future."
