  "We had a lovely stay at the lodge. So much atmosphere in the courtyard! Excellent modern restaurant with good food. The Springbuck pie and Karoo lamb was tasty and delicious. Breakfast menu will surprise you. The room was spacious; toilet loose fitted; aircon a bonus and the toilet roll holder funnyly on the floor!Friendly reception and secure parking"

  "Liked the courtyard, and the cold pool after a hot long drive from Cape Town. The rooms and were clean and neat, the shower was cold but did not bother as it was so hot. The restaurant is beautiful and the dinner buffet was good value with a variety that would appeal to all."

  "This is not a country lodge, just a cheap local hotel.I spent the whole night fending off mosquito's.The room was dark and the curtains had to be closed as the view was the common courtyard."

  "We have found a hidden gem in the Karoo area!<br/>This lodge far exceeded all our expectations.<br/>The accommodation was comfortable, but the facilities and service was what made the overall experience so great.<br/>The restaurant and surrounds have a lovely atmosphere, and the food was excellent - home cooking at its best.<br/>We will definitely stop over again on our way to or from Cape Town!"

  "Ons het lekker oornag op pad Kaap toe. Kamers gemaklik. Tee/ koffie/melk fasiliteite maar skraps. Net 1 per persoon... Ketel nie gewerk nie. Hul het ander 1 verskaf. Yskassie per kamer sal baie handig wees - mens wil goedjies koud hou vir lang pad wat voorl. Heerlike buffet geniet - prys dalk bietjie hoog. Personeel vriendelik. Dankie."

  "Oppad vanaf Kaap na Clarens oorgeslaap by die Lodge. Sal enige tyd weer daar verby gaan, die plek is mooi, personeel vriendelik en behulpsaam, kamers was gerieflik met skoon en modern badkamer. Was bly die bakkie kon veilig in n garage agter n geslote hek parkeer word. Aandete by die restuarant was profesioneel en lekker.Coming from Cape Town to Clarens overnight at the Lodge . The place is nice, staff friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms . Car was safe in a garage behind a locked gate. Dinner at the restaurant was professional and pleasant."

  "Alles was skoon en gerieflik, maar ons het bespreek vir ontbyt ook en toe ons daar kom, was dit nie ingesluit nie. Ons kamer het op die binnehof uitgekyk en daar was nie kantgordyne voor die vensters nie, m.a.w. ons kon nie die gordyne oopmaak sonder dat iemand van buite af sou insien nie. Ek het gevra vir 'n ander kamer, maar al het daar baie ander mense na ons ingeboek, was daar nie op díe stadium toe ek gevra het 'n ander kamer nie (moeilik om te glo). Ek en my man het altwee lamsbredie vir aandete bestel en alhoewel dit lekker was en vir my genoeg, was my man na ete nog honger, want die porsies was baie klein vir R80 (sonder enige bykosse, slegs bietjie stysel en 'n skeppie vleis). Ons het 'n paar aande later weer lamsbredie in Trompsburg geëet en dit was voorwaar die moeite werd: 'n groot bord kos met stysel, pampoen, groenboontjies, slaai en 'n lekker skep vleis. En dit vir R65."

  "The roadside rooms are totally unacceptable because of the noise level. The pool side rooms are lovely but rather small. court yard and pool area are cozy and nice. Food is very good - you pay per weight! Breakfast is very good as well if you like cooked breakfast - we prefer continental breakfast which was not available: no fruits, no fruit juice, no boiled eggs, no toast, etc. - we think they should consider to put this on their breakfast menu as well. <br></br> <b>Establishment's Response</b> <br></br> <i>I would like to answer this guest's review. We are currently looking at all these problem areas. However, I think Mr. Jagau might have misunderstood in connection with our breakfast. <br></br> We serve a selection from a menu, after much consideration. Because we live in a remote area, the deliveries are not reliable. We cannot make promises we cannot keep, and therefore do not serve fruit. <br></br> We have toast, fruit juice and boiled eggs, on request.
