Glen Afric Country Lodge

Glen Afric Country Lodge is nestled in the majestic Magalies Mountains and a World Heritage Site. Come and enjoy the scenic views and relaxing atmosphere of the bush. We cater for all travellers and strive to make each visit a memorable one.

Our function venues include a conference room, wedding tree, boma and a fully licenced restaurant - The Monarch of the Glen. Our three elephants are our main attraction and we offer elephant experiences in the bush - their natural habitat. Game drives, bush walks, picnics and other memorable activities are also on offer but booking is essential.

"We loved the roaring of the lions at night. The donkeys were naughty but so sweet. We did not spent enough time to participate in any of the games drives which is a pity. Our room's aircon did not work and the tap at the bath is rusted- needs replacement. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed supper at the restaurant and the view from there is really special. Glen Afric is a hidden gem."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glen Afric. The view from the deck where breakfast and dinner was served was breathtaking. The Zebra and Donkey were definitely a sight to see. The Ostrich and Giraffe came as close as the patio by our room where were staying in. The service and the knowledge of the wildlife were beyond expectations. I would definitely go and stay at Glen Afric again."

"We had a stunning experience at Glen Afric. The staff and service were great and they really went out of their way to make it special. The game drive with Andrea was unbelievable and the kids really enjoyed touching Three and stroking Hamley.

We would definitely visit Glen Afric again.

The only thing that doesnt look nice is all the catering trucks and tents as you enter the lodge on the right hand side.

Kind Regards
Tharina Joubert"
