Kruisrivier Gallery Apartment

Kruisrivier Gallery Apartment is a charming and beautiful little cottage with a lot of character. It is situated 28 km from Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn for any shopping with the beautiful Swarberg Mountains in the background.

The furnishings in the cottage are made with love and care, some even made by Roger himself. The cottage has a kitchenette, a seating area, a double bed and a bathroom hidden behind a latte screen. There is a beautiful old Dover stove for warmth. A beautiful Belling oven, microwave and a twin -plate gas hob provide the cooking facilities. Pretty handmade details all around add to the sense of home.
We have no problems with load shedding as we are now on a solar system. WiFi for communication

Your hosts, Phyllis and Roger, will make you feel comfortable and at home in this creative environment. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens, a place to truly enjoy the tranquillity and scenery. Small pets are welcome only by prior arrangement.

"This was our third visit to the gallery but the first time to stay. How many of you can say? We stayed in this incredible place with a comfy bed made by the host and Im not talking about sheets and duvets being arranged over a mattress, he actually built the structure under the mattress, It had kitchen that met all your needs and the quaintest little bathroom But uniquely, our second living room was the photographic gallery of host Roger Young.We were so impressed with his work and then he showed us his handmade furniture and wood carvings. WowBut there was further wow supplied by Rogers partner Phyllis Midlane, theatre costume maker extraordinaire who showed us her studio - lucky us.In summary a stay at Kruisrivier Gallery is delightful, all your needs are met and you couldnt ask for nicer hosts. A must stop on your way up the R62"

"I've driven through Kruisrivier multiple times, and absolutely love the location where it's nestled so close to the mountains. It was lively stay in the Gallery Apartment, it's charming in its simplicity, but you have more than you need to get along. It's clean, cosey, fantastic use of space and the coalstove is the cherry on top!"
