"We have selected Elegant guest house for the fact that they had WIFi available in every room. A few days before arrival, we received an email from the owner to confirm address and I responded that I hope we will have WIFI in at least one of the 2 rooms booked. There was no WIFI in the 2 rooms that were allocated to us, only in the dining room. I don't know about the other rooms. No hair dryers or heaters as mentioned on the web. (We were there during a very cold weekend). TV channels consisted of MNet, Etv and 2 SABC channels. No Radio. No bottled water in the rooms. This is an industry standard and there should be a bottle of water in the room. You may say that the tap water is ok in Polokwane and is drinkable, well, we don't know and also don't believe it. Breakfast was very limited. No cereals. We received a little bowl of fruit and a good plate of eggs, bacon etc. which was good. Guests were not asked if they would like this or that. Juice was consisted of concentrated juice which was made with adding water and you have to make your own slice of toast. The toaster could only take 2 slices at a time and was very slow. Even the owner agreed on that. I felt that everything was done as cheaply as possible. The coffee was terrible. Hospitality was fantastic but I don't pay for that. Instead I pay for service delivery and due to the fact that this was not a cheap establishment but rather expensive, I felt robbed! I have stayed in many guest houses all over South Africa and this was my first disappointment. I would have moved out after the first night but my parents were with us it was freezing cold and I did not want to disrupt them. I will rather stay in a hotel when I visit Polokwane again!"
