  "A very welcoming host and introduction to a cosy apartment with everything necessary to have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The location to the main town is very convenient and it's not too far to walk to the nature reserve for a short stroll or long hike. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay at the studio again!"

  "The Lodge was perfect for my wife and two daughters aged 11 and 14 for our three night stay. Although relatively small it suited our needs perfectly. Everything was in easy walking distance. Lodge was very well equipped - kitchen appliances, fireplace, underfloor heating in rooms, heater in lounge/diningroom, electric blankets, one well equipped bathroom with enough hot water for bathing and showering, quality finishes and linen. We were not looking for a large cottage or house as in our previous visits to Clarens but rather a smaller, more affordable place in easy walking distance - this lodge fitted those requirements perfectly."

  "We were a couple, then our family joined us with a young grandson. We were more than comfortable using a travel cot in the single bed room. The location is superb, you can park your vehicle and walk wherever you need to. It is very child friendly and you can close the gates. The garden is open too.We saw birds and enjoyed the mountain view!"

  "Lovely cottage and a great host. It was our first holiday with only one child (out of 3) and we really enjoyed the accommodation - found literally everything that you could want, down to the tooth picks! Surrounded by many of Peter's paintings we had a very comfortable studio with great ambience in beautiful Clarens. Perfect for a family with only 1 child or maybe 2 smaller children. If we had taken our 16-year-old son with, I think we would have felt a bit squashed in. Still highly recommended."

  "It was an absolute delight staying at the lodge. On our second day of our stay, we went back to the lodge late in the afternoon to find the fireplace already burning!
