Seashells Guest House

Sea Shells Guest House is situated in Coffee Bay and offers guests one of four comfortably furnished on suite units either on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis.

All units lead off from the garden and sleep from three to five people, all bedding and towels are supplied but no beach towels. The communal kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, double sink, double door fridge and free standing freezer unit as well as all cookware, plates and cutlery etc.

Sea Shells Guest House is a short walk from the lagoon and main swimming beach. We offer 4 x 4 excursions to places of interest like the Hole-in-the-wall. We offer advice to visiting fishermen.

Large enclosed braai area with tables and chairs as well as portable braai units. Secure parking behind locked gates and security lighting. Large back - up power system to cope with Eskom load shedding. Meals supplied on request.

"We were disappointed with the state of the room ... The rooms are run down and dirty. Communal kitchen was very dirty,and luckily we had our own kettle in the room and cutlery we could use. The shower floors were dirty. The kitchen and bathroom curtains and bathroom mats and handtowels are really filthy! The walls are full of stains. With a little effort,paint and new bathroom mats this will be a lovely place to stay."

"Loved the security and knowledgeable/friendly owners. The rooms though are run down and dirty. There were stains on the bedding and it is not very fresh. The shower floors were dirty. "I was never in my life in such a dirty and angular place. On the table lay quite thick dust and the covers were packed with dogs and cat feces. We booked 3 nights but we had to go after 2 nights again because we got sick. Had a whole stroke and my girlfriend had to the hospital."

"I feel it is my duty to warn everybody to stay away from this dump.<div>There is no sea view what so ever. Property is located behind a shebeen/liquor store. People very unfriendly and the place filthy inside. I couldn`t let my guests stay here and opted to pay more and stay in the local hotel. "We had the most wonderful stay. Geof and Annette are wonderful hosts. They showed us the most beautiful views. The meals were wonderful and as a whole were made to feel like family! We will definitely be going back for a longer stay. Thanks Geof and Annette"

"We did not enjoy our stay at all. The rooms we were given was extremely dirty. The bathrooms were filthy to the point that members in my family got sick. When we arrived Annette did not bother to show us the property. She was more interested in telling us to keep the dirty kitchen clean. Geoff on the other hand was helpful. We decided that once members of the family was getting sick, due to the poor conditions we left 4 day's early. We could not stay in that appalling conditions. We highly do not recommend this place to anyone."

"We had the privilege to spend a whole week in September there. We felt right at home with a warm welcome from Geoff, Annette and Nigel.The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed.
