Isandlwana Guest House

Isandlwana Lodge is pleased to announce the opening of a guesthouse which is an attractive, thatched-roof building, surrounded by the Lodge on one side and the village of Isandlwana on the other. It offers guests a relaxing getaway and a nice base from which to explore the area.

The house can accommodate a total of six people and can be two units or opened into one. The larger unit accommodates four people in two warmly decorated twin rooms with a comfortably furnished lounge and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with shower. The smaller unit, accommodating two people, has a well-furnished bedroom-sitting room combined, a small fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with shower. Both units have private entrances separated by double doors and are fully equipped for self-catering.

  • "Great location, smaller unit to be improved"

"We stayed in the smaller unit. Apparently, they do not keep an ongoing inventory of the two separate kitchen units of the guest house, so that basic cooking utensils were not available when we arrived. We had to wait for somebody to open the other unit to pick what we needed (which would have resulted in missing items had there been other guests). The fact that they do not mention a dining area for the smaller unit means, they do not even have a table and chairs in the bedroom or kitchen, so that we had to eat with the plates on our laps.I found ZAR 820 overpriced for what it was."

"Absolutely top notch accomodation. We enjoyed such great hospitality from the Lodge Staff and were enthralled by Rob's tales of the Battlefields. Shocking road - but well worth the trip."
