Valhalla Lodge

Valhalla Lodge is a large self-catering cottage located 40 km from Dundee. It is in a quiet and secluded area and offers a peaceful retreat. The lodge can easily accommodate up to 12 people. We are situated at Helpmekaar in Dundee District. Helpmekaar is 39 km from Dundee on the R33 going towards Greytown.

This comfortably furnished house has five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The unit has a large well-equipped kitchen with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. The living room has ample seating and the walls are covered with animal motif; there is no TV. The room also has a wooden dining table with ample seating for guests to enjoy a meal together. Outside is a courtyard with braai facilities and a swimming pool.

We provide all linen in the rooms and guests must bring their own torches, food, drinks, cleaning and washing up supplies. Guests can purchase groceries in Dundee, on the way to the lodge if necessary.

A vehicle with a high clearance is needed for the farm road e.g. a double cab.

The Nordic heaven is on a farm steeped in history with game viewing 18 species, innumerable varieties of birds, fishing, hiking, Mountain Bike trails, target shooting and an extensive natural garden with both indigenous and exotic trees, aloes and cycads. It is an ecologists delight.
