  • "Wonderful accommodation"

    12 April 2016

"The accommodation was wonderful, the gardens are stunning, everything was perfect, but more than that, Joy must be the most accommodating, helpful person I have ever met. She helped my parents late at night, early in the morning, she really goes beyond what is expected. Thank you so very, very much."

  • "All round good experience"

    13 January 2015

"I had an all-round good and pleasant experience staying at 10 van der Westhuizen Avenue Guesthouse. I stayed there for several weeks in the studio apartment and it was a great space for one person (and I reckon also sufficient for a couple). It had all I needed (small kitchen with everything one needs; wardrobe, chest of drawers, great king size bed, bathroom, TV etc). Everything was safe and easy access, including safe parking for the car. The neighbourhood also safe and very pleasant location to stay.I liked the little patio/stoep, surrounded by garden, trees and plants, and option to braai and just sit at the table outside the apartment. I spend many hours just sitting there listening to and watching the many birds. The sun shines into the property in the morning, and is a bit sheltered from the afternoon/evening heat, which was also very pleasant (not too hot). All staff were very friendly, and the apartment was kept immaculately clean.I enjoyed my time in Durbanville, and 10 van der Westhuizen was a good place for me to stay and I can recommend it for anyone who is visiting Cape Town but doesn't want to/need to stay in a central city location."

  • "Excellent Self Catering"

    29 April 2014

"We stayed in the Studio which is very spacious, and private. A lot of trouble and thought has gone into what you really need with a self catering apartment and this one lacks for nothing at all.We have never stayed in a hotel or apartment that is so spotlessly clean and comfortable.Well worth the money."

    Hendri Van Erp, South Africa
