  • "Nice farm stay"

    10 August 2018

"Its a nice little place ....with a real farm feel with lots of animals all around you ..from a not so friendly crow to ducks running around outside, feeding the little lambs with a bottle and the howling of jackal at night . We felt welcome. Not so much overnight stop but definitly a little place to consider if you always wanted to know how it feels to stay on a farm ...our hosts were very welcoming and ensured a wonderful stay coffee in the cupboards, fresh farm milk in the fridge and a wood fire to keep the cold out ....we will definitly go back...."

  • "Pretty cottage"

"We were grateful for our stay at Leopard's Lair which was a stopping off point on an otherwise very long journey. The accomodation was comfortable and on the whole very well equipped. It's main advantage was being able to accommodate a larger party. Our host Michelle was on hand to sort out a problem with the DSTV and provide us with extra towels. My one disappointment was that whilst the kitchen had a lot of crockery it was missing a few basic essential items like a pair of scissors and a saucepan! I wouldn't have wanted to stay there for a long time as it is in the middle of nowhere and with the kitchen being quite basic, it would be a bit awkward, but all in all it was pleasant."

  • "A Fantastic Stay"

"Our son is high functioning autistic, aged 17. Michelle and Bernard went out of their way to make him feel comfortable and wanted, inviting him to watch the rugby with them. For my husband and I it was just what the doctor ordered. Tranquility and serenity. Thank you for an enjoyable time."

  • "It was just what we needed!"

"We were really impressed by Michelle & Bernard's hospitality. They made us feel at home and as a matter of fact we actually mostly enjoyed the cottage and their pool table instead of driving around to explore like tourists! :-)Having kids with us was not even a problem as this place have a friendly environment and different animals such as chicken, goat, sheep, ostriches, etc... It kept them entertained believe me! :-)We wish the weather would have been better and not so overcast but to be honest it was a good excuse to be lazy and relaxed in the cottage next to a warm fire!"

"Our accommodation was just perfect. Being on a farm was so relaxing, peaceful and de-stressing. Michelle and Bernard were amazing hosts - even with load shedding on Saturday night they made us very comfortable."
