  "I stayed over and met a number of other business people at breakfast - all of us very much pressed for time to handle our business. The breakfast was scheduled for 06h30 - at 06h 50 the doors eventually opened and now there was quite a group all waiting. We eventually left after 07h30. If we were there for leisure maybe it would not matter that much but all were eventually quite frustrated."

  "While the gardens and the restaurant terrace are as beautiful as in the advertised photos, the room was definitely not so. It was a tiny dark hole, with no view of the garden as advertised. Furthermore it had just been painted, making sleep uncomfortable in the paint fumes, which created a headache. The room should not have been made available. The food in the restaurant was also not up to standard with a rump that had to be sent back to the kitchen. And I am still waiting for the issue around wrong pricing and invoicing from the establishment and Safari to be resolved."

  "We absolutely loved our one night stay. As we live in Piet Retief, this felt like a real "get away". Their breakfast was amazing and also their ala carte Restaurant!! Highly Recommended if you really want to relax! The rooms were very inviting."

  "The place is not too far from the boarder, which was great. The food was great and the kitchen staff were friendly. I didn't get a good reception upon my arrival though, I had to carry my own luggage which was not nice at all! I ended up not staying my entire booked duration and it was a mission to get some of my money back. It took days for them to give me some of my money back. Can’t say it was the greatest experience unfortunately.<br></br> <b>Establishment's response</b><br></br> <i>Hi Nelly<br></br> Thank you for you review. I apologise for the trouble with your luggage, although we do have porters on request. With regards to the refund, your cancellation came on the same date as your stay which is normally outside the cancellation period, although we did inform you that we would refund you the money once we had received it from the agent and less the commission that they charge.   "Travelling from the UK with my teenage daughter, we stayed at Mantenga Lodge. The setting could not have been better, overlooking Execution Rock at the heart of Elzuwini Valley.The accommodation was decent, the rooms were spacious, clean and the bathroom, particularly the shower was good. Breakfasts were a great start to the day and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals on the terrace when we ate 'on site'.All of the staff were friendly and attentive including the maids and the guys controlling the gate. It was a perfect place to stay as we felt that we were in 'real Africa' from a bygone age but with all mod cons...thoroughly recommended."

  "My wife and I had one night accommodation here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.The staffwere very friendly and hospitable.Food was delicious and great value for money.The inclement weather unfortunately denied us the beuatiful views of the valley.I do not know the name of the lady at reception who was on duty on Sunday, 25 April 2010.I wish her to know that we so much appreciated your "go out of your way" to assist.We had car trouble and you went so much out of your way to help.Thank you very much.The rooms were comfortable and clean.Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!"

I will definitely recommend this resort to all my friends and family and will definitely make use of their facility again.Only the main bed room have our conditioning. I could recommend that ceiling fans should be installed in the other bedrooms."

  "This trip was last minute and not for very pleasant reasons, but the stay at Mantenga Lodge was fantastic and made a difficult time enjoyable, their friendly staff (especially the gate man) were always smiling and always happy to help even when the car wouldnt start and I needed jump leads!The lodges themselves have everything you could want, air conditioning and ceiling fan which was a great help as it was hot, the surroundings were tropical and kept to a very high standard very pretty and quite relaxing. I will be travelling back to Swaziland again and I am sure that I will be staying at Mantenga lodge again it represents value for money and high quality."

  "It is a very nice place in a beautiful area. Very quiet but also much to do. So mostly 1 or 2 night will be enough. You stay there for the places of interest in the surrounding. The cottage is simply but beautiful. There is a small pool and a large garden to play."
