Ossewa Family House / Museum is situated in Ficksburg, among the Maluti Mountains.

Ossewa Family House / Museum offers 19 comfortable rooms with double or single beds and each of the rooms have an en-suite bathroom. A self-catering unit is also available and can sleep eight guests in three rooms. A museum is also situated on the premises.

The longest running Festival in South Africa is the Cherry Festival; held annually in November in Ficksbrug. Ficksburg is famous for its picturesque game farms as well as it being a busy trading town.

Ficksburg is well known for the production of livestock, asparagus, grain as well as cherries. The Meulspruit Dam which is encircled by a nature reserve offers angling as well as water sports.
