Agincourt Guest House

Agincourt Guest House is situated in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, at the foot of the Middagkrans Mountain; Agincourt is an idyllic country retreat. The centre of Franschhoek, with its world famous restaurants, wineries, and shops, is a gentle stroll away down a tree - lined country lane. Rolling farmland, vineyards, valleys, and mountains, make for a breath-taking backdrop.

In the 1 1/2 acres of grounds, dotted with shady trees - geese and ducks swim on the dam, whilst the resident dogs and cats snooze in the sun.
Agincourt is the perfect place to relax, lounging by the pool with a glass of wine, and watching the sun set against the mountains.

All the guest bedrooms are very spacious, a minimum of 35 square metres, and have ceiling fans and heating, and all bathrooms have heated towel rails. We will be delighted to help you plan your stay with us, from restaurant bookings to wine tours.

"My family visited Agincourt in December 2011. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. Our rooms were inviting, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was top-notch. Our children, aged 7 and 9, were made to feel very welcome! We were advised on which restaurants to eat out at, wine farms to visit and on which outings would entertain our kids. Well done to Agincourt, they made our visit one which we would definitely like to repeat!"

"My boyfriend and I were really pleased with our stay there. Everything exceeded our expectations. We got an upgraded room as they weren't very busy. The room, bathroom and the entire place was spic and span with everything you could ever hope for - even a heated duvet. They cleaned our room every time we went out. The owners were also very kind in answering all our questions about where to go for wine tasting and food - even booked the places for us. On the last day, they let us stay way beyong check-out time so that we could watch the royal wedding. I could not recommend this place more."

"Our three night stay was wonderfully restful in tranquil Franschhoek. Sleeping in utter comfort and safety with our windows and shutters wide open all night, to breath in the fresh mountain air and waking to the soothing sounds of the country. "Sheila was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We arrived to rooms that are huge with our own personal balcony and en-suite. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and Sheila was only too willing to meet our every need. The property includes a swimming pool, large garden and a fair sized pond. Agincourt is right behind the monument and so close to all the ongoings of Franschoek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt well rested in Sheila's tranquil haven in the foothills of the mountain."

"We had a very relaxed time, we had 6 nights and Sheila could not have been more helpful, she would offer to take/pick us up from restaurants etc etc and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was more than a plunge pool, the addition of dogs, donkeys and the free range chickens,seemed more little britain. Staff were wonderful. Thank you!"

"A beautiful house with exceptionally well furnished accommodation, in an excellent location within walking distance of Franschhoek. The Proprietor, Sheila, was kind helpful and very welcoming, offering lifts to and from the local restaurants. The standard of the accommodation and service could not have been better in a 5 star hotel.Agincourt has several resident pets, from dogs to donkeys, which add to the charm ."
