  • "Over priced"

    08 July 2016

"The grounds are beautiful.but the lodge nerds some very serious fixing. There was not a single matching pair of mugs. An amazing drawer full of random odds and ends for cutlery. Towels that were threadbare and bleach stained. Even my dogs have better.light fittings and bathroom fittings were falling down. Oh dear... Safari.now please take this venue off your list. Polly was no where to be seen her husband was sweet enough but admitted he didn't really have a clue about the running of the lodge. When we wanted to pay upon leaving we were stopped outside the door. The owner was on his way to the airport to fetch Polly... Nope he said they did not have credit card facilities cash only. Or we could do an EFT. So we handed over the cash ... No receipt. .. For R950 a night . this was a rip off."

  • "Disappointed"

    08 February 2014

"Furnishings are seriously outdated. On Friday morning we had no hot water and the one shower drain was blocked. Staff friendly but the lodge needs a serious modern revamp."

  • "Reeden Lodge"

    28 January 2014

"A lovely site with the cottages all set in their own private area, peaceful with views of the mountains and a very welcome pool on hot days. However, our cottage, Jasmine Cottage, was badly in need of a thorough clean and a general update. Hardly a single item of cutlery, crockery and glassware matched or was missing altogether, paintwork needed either a good clean or a repaint, a settee was covered with a blanket hiding stains, the bottom was dropping out of the armchair, the oven was in disgusting state with caked on and dripping fat and the outside cane chairs were probably over 10 years old. However, the bed was very comfortable and the linen spotless."

"I stayed there for two months and it was just perfect. The owners, Polly and Henry are great and really friendly. The cottage was in a quiet place. It was fully furnished and perfectly cleaned everyday by two amazing cleaners who were smiling and helpfull at all times. Thank you again for everything ... i just didn't want to leave .."

  • "Great weekend at Reeden Lodge"

    03 April 2013

"Our family of 4 recently spent the Easter weekend in one of the cottages at Reeden Lodge in Franschhoek. The grounds are lovely and spacious and the cottage had everything we needed, including towels and daily servicing. All for a very reasonable price! Will definitely be visiting again soon."
