  "The flat is bright, spacious, and homey.&nbsp; Lots of&nbsp; place to spread out inside so you don't feel cooped up when it's raining. The second lounge has a lovely sea view. The hosts are helpful, gracious, and non-intrusive.&nbsp; The beach is a 10-15 min walk downhill, and another 5 min along the beach to the swimming area.&nbsp; We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.<br />"

  "The flat and holiday was amazing but after leaving the owner accused us of destroying some of her things such as the shower curtain(which was torn when we got there) chipping side plates which we didn't even use as we didn't need it, burning the pots, and leaving scorch marks on her TV cabinet which I would love to know how we could have done that but after all of this we didn't receive our deposit back sure we did one or two things wrong as we did accidentally take the dish washing liquid home with us, breaking a drinking glass which we did replace. so for anyone that wants to go on holiday andwants to use the Laidback Holiday Flat it is an amazing place to stay buton arrival just point out some of the things you think she mighttry claim from you as damages.<div><br /></div><div><strong>Establishments response:</strong></div><div><strong><br /></strong></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">These kids were not the best guests that I have ever had,and obviously lied about the deposit not being refunded, and not chipping theplates or tearing the shower curtain. Icheck all my cutlery and crockery BEFORE any guests arrive, to ensure that nothingis broken, chipped or missing.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">How Nathan can say that they never used the crockery isbeyond me. When my maid went up toservice the flat on Saturday morning, the sink was full of unwashed dishes, andthe flat was a mess! When I went to check the kitchen upon their departure Ifound two side plates in the draining rack, one of which was chipped.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">One of them had dropped a R100 note on the bathroomfloor. They did not even know that oneof them had dropped it! It was all folded up and I thought it was a piece ofpaper. I contacted Nathans mother,intending to deposit the money into her account for the kids, but afterchecking everything, and finding all the things wrong, I used the money to buya new curtain and side plates. It wasjust fortunate for me that I DID find that money, so that I could remedy thebreakages.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">I am drawing up an INVENTORY of everything, and in futureguests will have to check everything, and sign to say that nothing is chipped,broken or missing. I have been meaningto do this for quite a while, but this incident has now convinced me that thisis what I have to do to prevent any future guests accusing me of blaming themfor things that they did not do.<o:p></o:p></p></div>"

  "Very nice! We were able to view the whales close to the shore while eating breakfast. The owners really went out of their way to make it comfortable and relaxing for us. The place was clean and there was everything we did not even think of. The environment is tranquil and the monkeys are entertaining but not a bother. We will go back again for sure."

  "Thank you Margaret and Hans, we had an awesome stay at Laidback holiday flat. It really exceeded my expectations. The place was clean and we felt at home. The kitchen is well equipped, (owner put soap, toilet spray, dish wash - they made us feel welcome and at home. We enjoyed the well kept garden and sparkling blue pool and especially sitting in the sea view lounge watching the whales. You get to see the most beautiful sunrises. I can definitely recommend this place who anyone who need a breakaway and will personally go back again. Bonita Venter and the Venter family."

  "Our family spent a wonderful week at Laidback Holiday Flat. Flat is spacious, kitchenette is well stocked, view is beautiful, we were very comfortable. Our 3 boys enjoyed the board games very much. Pool and garden are pretty, lovely to sit outside and braai. Owners made us feel so welcome, very kind and caring couple! We will most definitely go back!"

  "Did not enjoy our stay,no privacy, cats everywhere,every time we went outside the dogs would bark an the owners came out. The place was not up to standard had not been cleaned properly, had to wash with cold water because the geyser had been switched off,windows could not be opened and also did not close properly. I would not recommend this place to anybody."

  "I did enjoy that stay but my children did not becouse I had had to tell my chindren that from two year old to 10 years to sit still indoors it was hot and we could not open the windows. The dtstv only had some channels avalible."
