"Fotos not the same as actual place, beds needs to be destroyed, no micro no fridge"

  • "Not recommendable"

"This guesthouse is advertised as self catering which is not true. There is no microwave and small electric stove. The only electrical equipment is a small fridge and kettle. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The premises is littered with rubble. <br/><br/>Establishments response:<br/><br/>Leon, dankie vir jou terugvoer. <br/>Ek het jul op die nippertjie, in nood uitgehelp omdat jul ander bespreking jul in die steek gelaat het. <br/>My kwotasie was vir 'n en-suite eenheid aangesien die huise reeds vol bespreek was.<br/>Jammer ek het nie aan jou behoeftes voldoen nie. <br/><br/>Groete!<br/>"

"Secure and clean but nothing more to recommend. Uncomfortable old creaky beds and no shower for weary travellers, only a bath. <br/>When we arrived all of the windows in the prefab house were closed. No air. Not a good first impression. <br/><br/>Only stay here if you have no alternatives<br/>"

  • "Avoid!"

"As with previous reviews (which unfortunately were not available when we booked) we booked in to a 4 bedroom house only to arrive to a 2 bedroom house with another room with 4 beds to accommodate 8 people. Due to the same experiences by others it sounds like a scam to me!Now I want to know about a refund and what SafariNow will be doing about this."

  • "What a rip off!!"

"I could not believe the place when we arrived. It looked like such a dive I was embarrassed to take my family in! It does not deserve one star! The house is a pre-fab ex-worker house built in 1950 or so with decor that my grandmother thought was modern. On arrival we waited 25 minutes for the care taker to turn up with a key. She was lovely, but had clearly not opened up the house in months. On arrival the place was musty and oppressively hot. Starting with the lounge - no bulbs in the ceiling lights. One lamp-without a shade and a seriously dodegy cord leading to the plug. Dinning room table with a plastic table cloth that was sticky. Kitchen - dirty sticky floor, oven gloves that are dirty and burnt, pots that were burnt previously, the toaster is an old - bent - piece of iron you clamp toast into and put under the grill. Never tried the grill to see if it worked! The fridge was the best! Both fridge and freezer smelt like rotting fish and made me nauseus each time I opened a door!Moving onto the bedrooms. One had no bulb in, but the ceiling fan worked. The main bedroom fan worked only on fast and with the light on!! Very helpful! The last bedroom had no fan. The so called shower - which is a spout in the bath does not have a shower head!!!! I have photographs to illustrate some of these points. I shall email them separately. For R1500 for the night I was expecting far more! I stayed in a self catering accommodation in Robertson last week. The cottage was right on the river. Neat clean with modern shower and a large fire place with wood for R1000 for two nights!! In short if you as a company want credibility for your suggested accommodation I would suggest that you scratch this place off of your list."

  • "highly dissatisfied customer"

"Safari Now should impose some basic standard to be met. This establishment is not managed, not maintained. It is daylight robbery to pay for a place like this. Never again!"

  • "Not good"

    19 December 2013

"We never slept at Haum-Mari. We were directed to ko-ma-wee and had to sleep there all in one big room with 6 beds."

  • "I want my money back!"

    17 December 2013

"When I arrived I was offered as small scruffy room in some other guest house, not Haum-Mari as advertised. There were only 2 single beds and nothing else. Not the self catering unit that I paid for."
