Garies Hotel is located in the centre of Garies in the heart of Namaqualand. Experience the tranquillity the open landscapes, open-plane and crystal clear nights. The annual flora kaleidoscope beginning of spring August and September.

For the comfort of our guest we have an a la carte restaurant, living room, bar and liquor shop all on the ground floor. One flight staircase up to the first floor.

The hotel offers four double rooms with en-suite bathroom and air-conditioner in room; four twin rooms with bathroom, passage fan and four single rooms with bathroom, and passage fan. One large family room contains two single beds and one double bed, bathroom, passage and air-conditioner.

The private living room walks-out on to the balcony, and has safe parking on hotel grounds.

"While Garies doesn't have much to write home about, the hotel is something of an oasis. Old-style charm (from another era), but with modern en-suite, very friendly staff and all spotlessly clean. Restaurant fair. We enjoyed our night's stay there."

"It's roughly what one can expect from a 1 star establishment. Fulfills all the requirements of an overnight stay- nothing more.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is basic and the only choice you have is between brown or white toast.Rooms and linen are very clean.Dissapointed that we did not get the en-suite that we booked instead got rooms with communal toilet and shower."

"The room, the restaurant were very clean and tidy and the staff was very friendly.We loved the old, wooden floors, the creaking when walking on them. That old style. Loved it.Would certainly book in again if we go that way again."

"Wenn man dieses Hotel betritt, wird man in der Zeit um 50 Jahre zurck versetzt.Alt und miefig. Die Bilder in der Hotelbeschreibung sind verschnt. Badezimmer mit Toilette veraltet und verschmutzt. Zu Duschensoll man ber den Flur in eine Gemeinschaftsdusche gehen (Geruch unertrglich.Besitzerin sehr unfreundlich, kaum zu einem Kontaktgesprch zu bewegen, berlt alles dem netten aber unfhigen Personal. Ohne bernachtung abgereist."
