On the Beach

On the Beach is close enough to all amenities such as bars, restaurants and the largest shopping mall in South Africa. On the Beach is a super alternative to the large promenade hotels and hostels you will find in downtown Durban.

The lodge is located on the beach, in a quiet location with a homely atmosphere. The pool is the hive of the joint with braaing facilities around the edges and a cash bar in the evening. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, simple dcor and they offer sea views.

A hearty breakfast is served each morning and this is when you need to make the decision to either flop out the beachfront with a board under your arm and make the most of your day in the surf, or head out to explore. Being between downtown Durban and the holiday destination of Umhlanga Rocks, this is a perfect location to be.
