Auerhaus am Meer
Auerhaus am Meer is a large and airy bedsitter, situated in Glencairn. The unit consists of a comfortable double bed, a kitchenette with two plate stove, small oven, microwave and an en-suite bathroom with a shower only. There is a separate entrance with beautiful mountain and sea views.
A wide range of cultural, adventure, leisure, ocean and land-based activities and tours are on offer in this area. This truly is an ideal destination for windsurfers, divers as well as boat lovers. The unit is only a 20-minute drive from the Cape Peninsula Nature Reserve and Boulders Beach, famous for its jackass penguin colony.
False Bay is also known for being the calving ground of the southern right whale and shark cage diving.
Glencairn is actually a wetland conservation area with breath taking sea views, as well as hiking trail. On these trails you could come across 2250 indigenous plant species, Birds, mongooses, clawless otters and buck.
If you are looking for a perfect place to swim, the Glencairn beach, with its calm seas and accompanying tidal pool is a great choice. Enjoy the outdoors while you sunbathe, surf or even snorkel. Glencairn is also one of the main popular spots for whale watching in season. You could even hear of all the great white shark spotting from the locals.

"Chilling beauty"
03 May 2016"Pivotal to our stay at Auerhaus am Meer was the prevailing beauty of the sea and the scenic mountains in the background with the accompanying peace and sound of the waves. This view could be enjoyed from the queen size bed, the large windows in the room or on a rustic bench on the patio outside. The accommodation was comfortable and the household extras for use made our stay optimally convenient. The friendliness and approachability of Heather (owner of a local art studio) and her husband Manfred, was greatly appreciated. So there... a weekend to chill and enjoy the beautiful things in life without feeling compelled to join the rush on the road. Exercise could include a brisk walk around the vlei or to the beach. Enjoy!"

02 March 2014"What a lovely quaint place. I loved every second of being there, because after spending 5 hours at a mall you like to unwind. And for me this was the perfect contrast. Enjoyed drinks at the Viper lounge, and lovely pizza at the pizza shack. The apartment was clean and equip with everything we needed. Heather is such a lovely host! Can't wait to visit again and wake up to the gorgoues sunrise right from the bed. Thank you Heather!"
