Somerset Guest House

This gracious colonial house was built in 1903 and is situated in a quiet avenue in the suburb of Glenwood in Durban. The high ceilings and natural Oregon pine floors characterize the quiet, understated charm of Somerset Guest House. All five en-suite bedrooms are on the upper floor and are equipped with air conditioners, ceiling fans, extra long beds, tea and coffee-making facilities and clock radios. Other facilities offered are a swimming pool, safe off-street parking, and a separate DSTV lounge. Although we don't allow ironing in the rooms, we offer an iron/ board in the self-catering kitchen. The rate displayed is without breakfast but a full English breakfast is available at extra cost per person. We also offer a self-catering kitchen on request.The guest house is 3 km from Durban's city centre and only 5 km from the beautiful main beaches, perfect for a surf or just relaxing. We are 3km from UKZN and DUT, 1km to 2 of the best hospitals and 5 min walking distance to a shopping centre and 10 restaurants.
