  • "Very comfortable"

    28 April 2012

"We were very comfortable during our stay. Only negative comment is that the pool was green and if the weather was suitable for swimming (which it was not) then it would not have been pleasant to use."

  • "Breathtaking views"

    20 January 2012

"These were neat and comfortable chalets. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The lounge chairs were unfortunately old, hard and not so comfortable. We had to leave a day earlier to excessive, nonstop rains in the area which prevented us from getting around. The view from our chalet was breathtaking."

  • "Great"

    02 January 2012

"Drie nagte was net te kort, maar dit was fantasties ten spyte van die digte mis en die laat kom vir die swing. Ons sal dit maar volgende keer moet doen. Baie dankie, dit was lekker. Three nights were just to short, but it was fantastic despite the thick mist and arriving too late for the swing. We will have to attempt this on our next visit. Thank, it was great."

  • "Fantastic hospitality"

    11 October 2010

"Rooms are basic but neat. Restaurant has nice dinner menu. Nice location for traveling in the Blyde Canyon region, directly next to some adventure sports. The proprietor bent over backwards to help us through a sticky situation; his helpfulness was astounding and he was for us an excellent ambassador for the South African people. "

  • "Great!"

    23 March 2010

"The only negative comment I can make is that they need to put hooks on the bathroom doors to hang things! Otherwise, the place is great, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food in the restaurant, is both good food and good value for money! Great place! and we will certainly go back! Oh and I lied! One other negative thing, TAKE that BIG SWING away!! I could barely keep my daughter off it!!! She SO enjoyed the experience! and I believe she was the youngest child to do the swing!7 years old!!!"

  • "Nice view"

    21 October 2007

"We stayed in one of the hotel rooms, which was small but suitable and clean with a nice view to the surrounding mountains. Mogodi Lodge is ideal for exploring the Blyde River Canyon and the area of Graskop and Pilgrims Rest. It is situated on the outskirts of the city, which we found very comfortable as we were a bit away from the hustle and bustle. Very friendly staff and good food in the restaurant!"

    06 October 2007

"Overall, good. The lodge is in an excellent location, and when the mists lift the views are amazing. The rooms could have been a little more comfortable and they do get very cold in winter. The log fire in the lounge area was a nice touch."

  • "A Pperfect Family Unit"

    23 August 2007

"Mogodi Lodge, just outside Graskop is a lovely resort, with its own Restaurant, Curio Shop and Church for weddings & swimming pool. The units are well equipped and we had a great stay. Sleeping 5 (2bedrooms with double & twin beds, and a sleeper couch in lounge area), we had a perfect family unit. Here, the curio shop is not overpriced and you can find suitable gifts to fit your pocket. The lodge overlooks a gorge, with a waterfall tumbling down below. The Big Swing lures you on to take the extreme decision. Wow! What a rush! The long walk back up is steep, but the Adrenalin rush well worth it."
