Braeside Bed and Breakfast

Braeside Bed and Breakfast consists of two Victorian houses built in 1870 and 1903. These heritage homes are situated in the heart of Green Point, close to the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Stadium and Cape Town International Convention Centre, with easy access to all major tourist attractions.

Both homes feature original Oregon pine floors, high ceilings, fireplaces and large sash windows ensuring that all rooms are light and airy. The secluded courtyards offer guests a quiet place to read, write letters or drink a glass of wine in the evenings.

"This was my second visit to Cape Town, and I was looking for a convenient place to stay within walking distance of the Waterfront. After doing some searching I found that Braeside was ideal in that requirement, though due to the heat, I stayed in January 2015, and the temperatures were 30+ most days so I didnt walk to the Waterfront !The accommodation is cosy and well-priced and the breakfast is very filling, with a choice of cold meats, fruits, cereals and a hot option as well. Plenty of coffee/tea/juice and toast are also available. My room (Rose) was big, airy and very comfortable, having a separate shower and bath and two really comfy chairs. The sash windows rattled a little when the wind got up one night ! Nothing unusual in that, the house being quite old, a hundred years at least I think. The B&B is ideally for exploring the many eating places on Somerset/Main Road, as well as the Waterfront and the Hop on/off tourist bus.Catherine, Michael and Craig were excellent hosts, very approachable and pleased to help in any way they could.A great place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend it. All being well, health wise I hope to return one day soon."
