  "The accommodation overall wasn't a bad stay, small improvements can be made like, Dustbins in the room as there is a dustbin between 2 rooms that need to be shared outside. We stayed in the Main Manor and had a box TV and small selection of channels however, the stable rooms that are cheaper have a flat screen and full DSTV. There is also no staff that cleans your room or fills up the coffee station so you have to wash glasses in the bathroom, only after 3 nights of staying over may you request cleaning and refilling of coffee station of witch we where not staying in a self catering unit. I do feel that owners and managers should take more of a walk around and be involved in maintenance of units (taps switched around, blocked toilets). It did feel like the staff only stay in reception at all times, and you must run around looking for answers. Overall we did have a clean room and a good stay overlooking the gardens with all the animals running round was lovely to see, the pool area was neat and clean as well. Very central as well to all the places around Harties."

  "I would have appreciated an honest description of the room because I was not expecting to be sleeping in a wooden cubicle for R790. I was really disappointed by the very small log cabin room that we were put up in (approximately 3m x 3m) and I'm so glad we were only there for the one night. The wooden walls were dirty, floors creaky, the shower was small and surrounded by corrugated iron sheets and no soap basin. The fridge was outside together with a dirty two plate coil stove. The only up side were the pillows, which were comfortable."

  "The tents were extremely dirty. Full of frogs, dead frogs and maggets. Had to phone the owner to send someone to clean. Funny smell in the tents probably the dead frogs. Alarms going of during the night and people playing loud music until 2:00 am. Worst and dirtiest place Ive ever been."

  "In hindsight the website doesn't show much about the accommodation we stayed in. We didnt expect 5 star accommodation for R800 but definitely not what we got. A close up photo of the bed on the website doesn't give a true reflection of the accommodation . Wooden cabin sounded cute. Not so. Three rooms next to each other. Floorboards squeak so everyone hears everyone else's movements. It was extremely crammed. It needs a good coat of paint inside. Not even place to put your case flat on The floor. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean."

  "The picture is not what the room looked like at all. The shower floors was dirty. The sink roof made so much noice because of a tree branch resting on the roof we struggled to sleep at all. The shower has no curtain so the floor gets wet. The tv is the size of a laptop screen. We just expected more for the prise we paid per person."

  "Noisy!!! Very noisy, constantly heavily traffic passing by on main road - day and night, couldn't sleep at night. Saturday night loud music and late night party from other tourists next to our safari tents. Utilities in the kitchen area needs urgent upgrade!! No bread knives, no bread boards, ext..Spiderwebs in the bathroom area need some cleaning."

  "I made a booking for the honeymoon suite, and 15 min later had to cancel because the event we were going to was cancelled. I called the venue and was told that I would have to forfeit all the money due to terms and conditions. I figure we may as well make the most of it and just go. After much fracas, with the overzealous administrator cancelling the booking etc, I got confirmation from her and safari now that I was indeed booked.<br/><br/>FFW the day, we go off to harties, only to be told at the gate that there is no room for us. Impossible, I say, I have confirmation and my name is on the list you've just shown us for the honeymoon suite. We go speak to the owner who offers us "more expensive" options because "there is no water in the honeymoon suite". Enroute to see these other "more expensive" options, we spot a couple looking all loved up outside our RESERVED & PAID FOR chalet. Apparently, they had been there 1 night already. After much complaint, the owner offered us a full refund, but we still had to trek back to Pretoria in the dead of night. None of this would have been necessary had we been contacted the day before, or they had cancelled the booking when we requested. The only bright side was that the money was back in our account the next day. Very poor showing Shangrila-Innibos!"

  "The room that I booked online through SafariNow and the room that was actually booked at the venue for us was not the same!!! The room type that I booked online was fully booked when we arrived and had to either go with a log cabin which was totally unacceptable or a room in the house. We ended up going with the room in the house which was not ideal but much better than that of the log cabin. The owner at least tried to assist as he could see I was unhappy.<br/>Be careful to book anything through SafariNow as what you book and what you get is NOT the same!!!"

  "We stayed at Shangrila-Innibos over a weekend, arriving in the dark on a Friday night. The signage for the venue runs parallel to the road, making it difficult to see if you've never been there before. The accommodation was adequate, hence the review title. We stayed in the honeymoon chalet, whose description is a little bit misleading, in the sense that the private garden that it claims to have is a hardly private and hardly a garden. The appliances and fittings, while serviceable, appear to be ancient and cheap<div><br /></div><div>I think that my biggest gripe is on the value for money side. Perhaps I am ignorant, or out of line, but my feeling is that it was overpriced, and things that are often taken for granted such as housekeeping and breakfast were optional extras. All in all Shangrila-Innibos was more or less sufficient for our needs, but that's about it.</div><div><br /></div><div>To end on a positive note all the staff were friendly, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her massage (I think that the masseuse's name is Grace?).</div>"

  "This is a very neat place and close to all things, but definitely not value for money, the cabins are so close to each other, you can hear the other people talk inside their cabin.A bit more privacy should be nice.<br />Also the noise all the trucks, cars and bikes make is a bit hectic as the main road is close to the entry.But other than that, we had a rest, and that is all that matters."

  "We got to Shangrila-Innibos on 19 April 2014, we were informed by SafariNow that the check in was 12:00pm but when we arrived at our destination we were told that check in was 14:00pm. Luckily, the owner told us that we could wait at the pool and that they would let us know once our room was ready. The staff was very friendly and our room was ready before 14:00pm. Our room was well maintained and the atmosphere was very relaxed which was lovely.We were literally right outside the Elephant Sanctuary and close to the flee market and close enough to a Spar if we needed anything.My fianc and I felt well rested and de-stressed when we left and would definitely go there again!I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to just get away to relax, it was pleasant and welcoming."
