Robin's Nest

Robins Nest lies nestled under the Onrus mountains at the entrance to Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in the picturesque, secure and private country estate of Glen Fruin which was originally part of the farm Rheezicht.

Situated in the lush garden, Robin's Nest boasts 3 Star, fully equipped self-catering accommodation. All units feature en-suite bathrooms, barbecue facilities and secure parking. Breakfast can be arranged and a fully equipped laundry is also available for guests' use.

The area is a bird-watcher's paradise, boasting robins, hadeda, ibis, heron, guinea fowl, francolins, while along the river path Egyptian geese, yellow billed ducks, coucal, kingfishers, nightjars and hoopoes can be observed.

We are conveniently located within walking distance of the wine village, with its stunning restaurants, art galleries, wine-cellars, and even a morning market. Robins Nest is situated at the entrance to the Hemel-en-Aarde wine route which includes the renowned cellars of Bouchard Finlayson, Sumaridge, Newton Johnston and many more local wines. In addition, superb restaurants such as La Vierge and Heaven are where many a bride and groom have made their vows.

We are situated close to the tidal pool in Onrus, 1 km from Sandbaai beach, and just 3 km from the vibrant seaside village of Hermanus, famous for whale watching in season. Other activities include hiking, fishing, golf, horse riding, swimming, paragliding, and quad biking.
