  "Positiv ist der Blick aufs Meer: einzigartig!<br/>Sehr negativ fanden wir den Zustand der Wohnung: Schimmel, eher feucht, bei Regen tropfte es von der Decke, die Fensterscheiben hatten Lcher, die Terrassentr einen 6cm breiten Spalt, durch den der kalte Wind reinzog.<br/>An heien Sommertagen ist das ok, aber bei uns im September war es ohne Heizung zu khl."

  "Up to now we have always been happy with reservations made through SafariNow, but after our visit to Hermanus Esplanade we will be a lot more careful before making a booking. Thankfully we only had 2 nights to endure in the establishment, had it been for any longer we would have moved elsewhere. The unit was nothing like what is advertised. The only positive part was the central location and good view. We could not use the braai as it was falling apart, the fridge was so smelly we did not want to put anything in it. I could go on, but will rather just say that unless you are looking for something like a basic backpackers, you should avoid the Hermanus Esplanade."

  "I'm assuming that R500 per night for accommodation in Hermanus during January is relatively cheap. The building itself is dilapidated and most fittings are worn and on the verge of collapse. We were told that there were stairs up to the accommodation but not that these stairs were almost vertical and had to be negotiated every time we wanted to go from the downstairs room to the bedroom/bathroom. Reception offered to phone us the next day with a view to swopping for a ground floor room. This never happened.<div>We arrived on the Saturday and that night some other residents shouted and sang until almost midnight. In the past we have had good service from SafariNow but this was not pleasant.</div>"

  "we checked in and out within 30 minutes. Room smelt of smoke, washing hanging across the entrance and piles of old garbage. Very dated and frankly an unacceptable establishment."

  "We had a lovely time at Hermanus Esplanade.Due to me suffering from sinusitus, I could not sleep in the 2 sleeper unit with carpets and had to ask for one without carpet. This was given to us by the friendly staff. The location of this resort is within walking distance to all shops, beach, restaurants, etc. and this was a big plus."

  "Well situated close to all restaurants and the sea across the road. Roofing used in part for the unit to let in light is not practical during heavy rains; it leaked in and very noisy. Bedding smelled damp."

  "We stayed in a twin bedded courtyard apartment. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The parking is secure. It is very conveniently situated for good whale viewing areas, only a few moments walk. We felt it was very good value. The only thing we missed was a shower - there was a bath, but no over bath shower, although I believe some apartments have showers."

  "This was my 1st visit at Esplanande and we enjoyed every moment of it. What we appreciated most was the privacy of the unit (18) that we got as well as the fact that we could park our vehicle at the establishment as everything was within walking distance. No headaches looking for parking. Next time we would just want a sea facing unit as this was one of the things we missed most- being so close to the water but no view from the unit."

  "I must say i had the best stay at this place the view was magnificent and we enjoyed ourselfs fully the staff was friendly and treated us well I WANT TO GO BACK"

  "Nice location, close to the sea etc. Place smells like smoke, and we are not smokers, so that was a negative. Overall neat though. Did not have cold water in shower in the morning, couldn't shower in the steaming hot water without burning."
