The property, historically known as Highfield House, is approximately 160 years old and is set in a large park-like garden, in a suburb steeped in old Durban history.This property offers a pet friendly home away from home venue. We have a self contained pet friendly ,self catering granny flat in Hillary on 3 acres which is fully fenced .The flat is very private with an air conditioned bedroom (singles or double beds) a kitchen ,toilet , shower and no DSTV. We have automatic access to the premises with very secure parking .The outside entertainment area has beautiful views of Durban. The Property is approx 3.5 km from Albert Luthuli Hospital and approx 17 km from our beautiful beaches . Please check fb for pics of our wedding venue.

"Gillian needs to spend time on house keeping. The granny flat had obviously not been cleaned for weeks. There were a lot of Geckho droppings on the floor and on the counter tops in the kitchen. The shower and bathroom also needs cleaning and painting, with rust removal. The lace curtain over the toilet window was filthy. Not recommended."

"Venue is lovely with neat gardens and ample safe parking. Owners very friendly and helpful. The granny flat had everything in it that we needed. Only negative comment would be that the bathroom looked old and neglected. It needed some rust removal and paintwork."

"I enjoyed staying at the venue. It is a very quiet place, although I had trouble reaching the place by taxi. I think attention should also be given to the shower, otherwise the place is lovely. I would not hesitate to stay there again when I am in town."

"The stay at the Highfield House was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The hosts were friendly and enjoyed meeting with them very much. They were very considerate and helpful.
