Fernhill Tented Treehouses
Life slows down as you turn onto Highway West, a beautiful country road, leading you to Fernhill Guest Farm, which is situated just outside Knysna in the beautiful area of Rheenendal. This area is known for its magical ancient forests, cycling and hiking trails, and cute eateries like the Famous Tottie's Farm Kitchen, where every meal is an occasion. Fernhill is a mere 15 minute drive to Knysna and the beautiful beach at Buffalo Bay, while only being 20 minutes away from Sedgefield, with its ever popular Saturday Wild Oats Market, so you will be spoiled for choice when looking for places to visit.
Accommodation comprises 6 glamping tents, and each tent has its own wooden deck with tree views of the forest on the farm.
The tents can accommodate between 2 to 4 people, and is furnished with king-size beds, as well as a sleeper couch or a bunk bed. The wood-panelled en-suite bathroom is equipped with a spa bath and an overhead shower. Electric blankets, fans, heaters, as well as linen and towels, are provided. Each of the tents is also equipped with include a small kitchenette, braai, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
For those who enjoy walks, there are many beautiful trails on the 56-hectare farm. This area is also very popular with mountain bikers, so bring your bicycle and explore this region that forms part of the 7 Passes Route between Knysna and George. We are situated in a conservancy, so in addition to the farm animals, there is a lot of free roaming wildlife including bushbuck, bush pigs, leopard, monkeys, baboons, porcupines and a large variety of birds, so don't forget the binoculars.

13 May 2014"This place is surely a little bit of heaven. The accommodation in the permanent tents was glamping at its best. All the facilities were top class. Beds were wonderful, spa bath in bathroom an added bonus. We never lacked for anything, we felt safe and the service was friendly and world class. I actually do not have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe this place. If you need to get away from city life and rejuvenate your soul, there is no better place to go. We will definitely be back, with friends as nobody will believe our words until you have been there yourself."
