Honne-Hemel

Honne-Hemel is the ideal getaway for the whole family, including the four-legged, furry ones. Honne-Hemel is a fully equipped, self-catering and comfortable holiday house with great sea views, located just a two minutes’ walk from the beach.

The house has three bedrooms; the main bedroom has a double bed and the other two bedrooms have twin beds. There is a bathroom with a bath and a shower, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave oven and a fridge-freezer. The dining room has a six-seater table and a lovely fireplace and braai. There is a TV with DStv; you will need to bring your own decoder and smartcard. There is an outdoor braai area with a lovely sea view and a garage. Well-behaved pets are welcome and the property is fenced.

Formerly a favoured holiday destination for farmers, fishermen and divers, Hondeklip Bay is separated from Springbok by 104 km of gravel road, the Messelpad Pass and Soebatsfontein - a quaint village built next to a spring at the foot of the escarpment. Hondeklip Bay’s harbour, from which copper ore brought by ox-wagon from Springbok was exported before the port was supplanted by Port Nolloth, now serves fishing and diamond mining boats.
