Azalea Bed and Breakfast
This is a charming bed and breakfast located in the town of Howick, approximately 20 minutes from Pietermaritzburg, an ideal stopover between Johannesburg and Durban.
Accommodation consists of two comfortably furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private entrances. The rooms have TVs with DStv, bar fridges, microwaves, tea and coffee-making facilities, as well as under-floor heating and free Wi-Fi.
A traditional English breakfast is served in the lovely dining area, or a packed breakfast can be arranged for early risers. The rooms lead out to a beautiful garden where there is a small swimming pool. The establishment provides secure undercover parking on the premises.
Howick forms part of the popular Midlands Meander route and has many attractions, including the Howick falls and the Nelson Mandela capture site, where Nelson Mandela was arrested in 1962.

The bed was very comfortable and there wasn't any noise during the night outside.Information about the area was provided in the room and the hosts are very happy to tell you more about where to go, what to do and what to see.Breakfast is served to your choice: scrambled, fried or poached eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes or other vegetables and potatoe cakes. Besides that there is also a buffet with fresh and dried fruits, cereals, yoghurt, toast, cheese and syrups.We really enjoyed our stay at Azalea's!"

09 May 2014"What a wonderful stay in the beautiful town of Howick! Situated in a quiet suburb with a wonderful relaxing garden. Very comfortable stay with attention to detail by the owners. Dawn & George really made me feel at home and had lots of tips on what to see and do in the area. Hearty breakfasts in the morning and just enough interaction with the owners for the stay to be personal but not intrusive. Highly recommended!"
