Grootvalleij Farm Accommodation- Bokskraal

Bokskraal is a restored farmhouse located 30 km from Kamieskroon, on the way to Soebatsfontein and Hondeklipbaai.

The lovely farmhouse offers guests a comfortable stay in three bedrooms that are furnished with double beds and twin beds. The rooms share the use of a bathroom with a bath, and bedding and towels are provided. The house has electricity and the kitchen is equipped with a stove, a microwave, an oven, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge. Guests can make use of the covered braai area. Secure parking is available. Please note that a minimum of four guests need to book the farmhouse.

When staying at Bokskraal, guests will have easy access to the Namaqua National Park and walking routes in a kokerboom forest. Guests can go hiking on the farm or explore the nearby towns of Hondeklipbay, Soebatsfontein, Kamieskroon and the historic Wallekraal.

"We loved our stay at Bokskraal! Our family of 4 adults had the whole farmhouse to ourselves and it was lovely for us Johannesburgers to enjoy the clear sight of beautiful stars and the sound of owls instead of traffic! Although the flowers were not very good this year because of the drought, we still had a wonderful time and definitely recommend Bokskraal.One tip: the farmhouse is 30km from Kamieskroon on a dirt road, so don't expect to be able to quickly pop out for a meal or groceries!"

"Bokskraal is a great place: individualistic, isolated and beautiful We enjoyed daily hikes up the local kopjies and would love to return in a better flower season. Only suggestion is that having the toilet accessible only through the one bedroom made it difficult to use a night. Driving there through the pass was an unexpected added pleasure: I never knew it was so beautiful there!"

"Loved the beauty of the surrounding area, peace and solitude. The farm is beautifully furnished and has a unique position bordering skilpad nature reserve so guests staying at the farm have there own private access into the reserve. Flowers on the farm were incredible too. Would love to visit again."

"Wonderful stay in old farmhouse with lovely touches! Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, very good cycling too. Esmi is charming and so helpful. Very picturesque place and even though it rained we did see magnificent displays of flowers on one lucky day. also enjoyed walking up to see lots of kokerbome in the setting sun. Wish I could have stayed for longer."
