Dunwerkin offers upmarket luxury self-catering accommodation in Kenton-on-Sea. The village of Kenton-on-Sea lies almost midway between the East Coast cities of Port Elizabeth and East London, nestled between the Kariega and Bushmans tidal rivers.

These beautiful rivers provide opportunities for numerous water sports, fishing, crabbing, game viewing and birding. Between the two river mouths some of the most pristine and beautiful beaches and sand dunes are to be found. The Kariega lagoon, Middle Beach and Mermaids Pool are safe and ideal for children and less energetic swimmers. For fishermen, there are the options of deep-sea, rock and surf, and river angling.

For game viewers and birders, there is a surfeit of malaria-free Big 5 game parks and reserves within an hours drive of Kenton. These include Kariega, Sibuya, Shamwari, Amakala, Kwandwe, Pumba, and the Addo Elephant National Park. For sports lovers, Kenton offers a gym as well as squash, tennis and bowling clubs while golfers are catered for by the Royal Port Alfred and Gary Player-designed Fish River Sun courses. For walkers and hikers there are wonderful beach walks to Kasouga or Diaz Cross as well as the Alexandria Forest, Belton and Assegaai hiking trails. Horse trails are also available.

Kenton and surrounds are rich in the history of the Frontier Wars and the 1820 British Settlers. Visits to sites such as Diaz Cross, the historical villages of Salem and Bathurst as well as the Albany, 1820 Settler, and Observatory museums and 1820 Settler Monument in Grahamstown are well worthwhile.

Dunwerkin accommodation comprises two two-bedroom units that can double as a lovely four-bedroom unit accommodating eight guests. By opening a single door, the units convert into a four-bedroom house. Each unit contains a double bedroom, with a choice of a king-size bed or two single beds, and a second bedroom featuring two single beds. Both of the rooms offer en-suite bathrooms and a camp cot can be provided for babies or toddlers. The open-plan fully equipped kitchen contains a dishwasher, microwave and all other amenities. Features include a comfortable living area with full DStv and a DVD player, underfloor heating, and ceiling fans. The units also boast a private patio with a barbecue facilities.

Dunwerkin is situated in a quiet and secluded area and is securely fenced and walled with an intercom and 24-hour armed response security, and a lock-up garage with fully equipped laundry is also available for guests use.
