  "I got a phone call to say they were renovating a day before our stay.they could have refused our booming .it was the worst accomodation i have ever stayed in.the TV was 10 years old and only black and white.there was no hot water.they then switched on the geyser that tripped the lights.our friend who was next door had no hot water because it all run out.her bathroom light don't work.shower tray was broken in both rooms.shockingdont stay there!!!"

  "The only good thing that I can say is that it is well situated near the Kruger Park. The units we stayed in are in urgent need of a revamp, especially the electrical system. We had no hot water as the wiring to the geysers were dead. An electrician was called out but refused to work on the wiring as he considered the whole system to be unsafe and in urgent need of a complete rewiring job. We left after two days although we were booked for three."

  "We were a group of 8 travellers and were very pleased with Ambri Africa Self Catering! It is excellently priced, clean, very neat and has a swimming pool which was much appreciated after a long drive from Mozambique! It is ideally situated for an overnight stay to and from Mozambique. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provided us with much needed travel tips for travelling in Mozambique."

  "We arrived full of anticipation after we booked the "family cottage" months in advance. From the photos on the website we expected a lovely stay. What we found was terrible. Apart from the tiny size of the cottage (actually a room), one of the beds was broken, the shower leaked into the kitchen/sleeping area, the toilet seat was broken, the fan and security gate were not working and the swimming pool was green. When complaining to the manager, we were told that this is the usual story over the holidays and that apart from cleaning the place he can't fix any problems since the owners skip away to Mozambique to get away from all the customer complaints and leave him no money to sort out the problems. Since it was the holidays we could not find any other accomodation and we had to sit out the whole 3 nights. Not recommended."

  "The place is in a quite place and it is very neat. There is enough space in the rooms. I love the fact that they provide basic things you'll need for everyday use and the service is ok.   "We enjoyed our stay at Ambri Africa very much.Irma made us feel so welcome and went the extra mile to make it comfortable for us.we met some friend there and we all came together Saturday night for a braai.Irma kept making sure that all was well with us.she even offered the room next to ours for one of our friends, as their lodgings wasn't up to standard.we loved the place and will most definitely be staying over again."

  "We stayed over on two different occasions. We originally booked a 6 sleeper for a family. We found the accommodation rather squashed for 6 adults. On our return trip we took an additional unit which made the stay far more comfortable. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay over on your way to Mozambique. An added plus is that the owner travels regularly to Mozambique so he can give one a lot of very useful information, especially for crossing the border."

  "This is a great stop over if traveling to Mocambique, the facilities were clean and neat. We did not have to worry about our trailer and that goods could be stolen, as the Lodge has a facility to keep trailers and a permanent staff member on guard.It was extremely hot and unfortunatly the swimming pool was not completed by then, but will be great when completed."
