Buffelspoort Cottage and Camping

Buffelspoort Cottage and Camping is situated in a gorge that runs through the Klein Swartberg Mountains. The accommodation is situated on a fruit and cattle farm, 30 km from Ladismith. The area has magnificent cliffs and beautiful scenery has been declared a National Heritage Site because of its botanical value.

Guest can choose to stay in the Buffelspoort Cottage or the Campsite. The rustic cottage is a renovated workers cottage which sleeps four people. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace and there is only a two-plate stove and no oven. Guests can relax on the patio and enjoy a braai and the views. The Campsite has grass, trees and braai facilities. There is electricity, running water and ablution facilities.

The accommodation is ideal for those hiking the trails around Buffelspoort. The Slanggat and Blou Blou trails have viewpoints that look over the gorge and can be walked or driven in a 4x4 vehicle. There are also many farm roads to explore by foot, mountain bike or 4x2. The 4x4 trails can only be utilized on weekends as part of a booked package.
