Koedoeskloof Guesthouse

Koedoeskloof is situated in Dwarsrivier, 9kms from Ladismith just off Route 62 in the Western Cape. We offer guests peace and tranquillity as our property is surrounded by the Klein Swartberg mountain range and overlooks the magical Towerkop mountain peak.

We are approx. 450kms from PE and another 330kms to the centre of Cape Town, thus perfectly situated for a one-night stop-over for guests travelling between these cities.

We have 4 double en-suite rooms, none self-catering, and all with steps leading to them. Each of the rooms has separate entrances that are connected to a shared veranda connected to the main house. Of the 4 rooms, 3 have twin- or king-size beds with en-suite with showers, while the 4th (Room 4) it has a double bed and en-suite with a bath (no shower).

Our comfy, good quality beds and 200 thread percale bed linen will ensure a good night's rest. Apart from pure white linen (anti-allergy pillows & duvet inners), soft fluffy throws and warm blankets we also provide fresh towels, complimentary toiletries as well as a well-stocked tea-and coffee tray. The rooms are kept cool in summer with ceiling fans and in winter warm with wall heaters.

Unfortunately, none of the rooms is self-catering but we cater for your needs in our on-site restaurant. It is a very casual dining area and definitely the central point where you can come and relax and enjoy sundowners on the deck whilst taking in the scenic beauty of the spectacular Dwarsrivier Valley. We offer our very well known homemade gourmet burgers ranging from beef to kudu, and chicken. Other meals are also available by prior arrangement. Our breakfast is also highly rated and boasts fresh fruit in summer plus a farm fresh English breakfast with real filter coffee, throughout the year.

We have 3 beautiful dogs, 2 are Rhodesian Ridgebacks and the other a Springer Spaniel. They love our guests but unfortunately no other pets, so please do not bring yours with.

Koedoeskloof is ideally situated in an area that is easily accessible by car or motorcycle so it is the perfect destination to explore the Klein Karoo region.

No matter what you decide to do with your time here, you will undoubtedly leave us feeling revived, refreshed and enriched with fond memories of a visit to one of the best-kept secrets of the Klein Karoo.

"In this case, the journey would almost be as good as the destination."
