"Beautiful area and establishment .Andre the manager very helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to try and help with house keeping problems. Poperty needs maintenance it is so beautiful area."
"We simply loved the (not inexpensive) dinner on the balcony - simple and perfectly seasoned, views, walking amongst the vines, and the quiet. Most of the staff weren't wearing masks properly, and our room could have done with a little more rigorous housekeeping."
"On arrival, we were informed that SafariNow "overbooked" and made a mess-up with our booking, so there was no accommodation for us. However, I found this strange as I communicated directly with the owner via SafariNow messages and she assured me we had booked the last available space. A phone call in advance would have been appreciated. We specifically booked at Mymering, drove out of our way from our destination to go there as a friend praised them. We were thoroughly disappointed by their welcome of us and their handling of the situation. My little dog was also not welcome after it was agreed she may come via messages on SafariNow. The only items on offer for dinner was sardines or duck, plus a shrimp starter. We were not impressed as these choices do not cater for everyone's tastes. At least a chicken/beef should of been made available. We cancelled our dinner reservation.Mymering organised that we stay at a partnering self-catering facility: Sipreslaan Selfsorg - Stuurman se Huisie. What a lovely place to stay! We are thankful that we were accommodated by these lovely people. It was well resourced, crisp, clean and comfortable. If we knew we were staying there, we would have booked another night just to enjoy our stay more... and be better prepared for a good braai and bonfire experience. Thank you for having us!Regardless of the fact that we did get alternative accommodation, we were expecting Mymering facilities and quality which we paid R1600.00 for, but we received accommodation to the value of around R850.00 (via LekkerSlaap) - this is not ethical and not acceptable."
"Beautiful scenery; great accommodation. Best of all is diner; Leonardo has great skills; it was a real treat. Hope to be back."
"We spent a very relaxing Heritage Day weekend at Mymering. Penny and Andy offer the perfect combination of luxury accommodation, great food and company in the most spectacular surroundings. We loved the walks in the vineyards and mountain and what a treat it was to be woken by the sound of farm animals and hundreds of birds. We loved every minute and will certainly be back."
"We had a wonderful stay at Mymering. The accommodation was 110%, and we enjoyed the home cooking and pleasant "stories vertel". The new owners, Penny and Andy is busy with new development, and we will definitely visit you again, for more than one night. The Mollers and Van Rensburgs"
"Fabulous views complimented by special attention from Penny and Andy made it an unforgettable breakaway."

"A piece of heaven on earth."
"I would highly recommend staying at this tranquil estate outside of Ladismith.Pity we did not stay longer. The cottage was absolutely wonderful and neat, and at night we had a braai watching the stars in heaven - and believe me, it did feel like heaven. "
"Mymering is very beautiful, even in the middle of winter. The accommodation is luxurious, and one feels as if every possible need has been considered. What made the experience particularly special was the personal attention paid by the owners to every guest. I would recommend Mymering to anyone wanting to escape the stresses of city life for a few days."

"It was a great decision to stay over here! The hosts were charming and the cottage a pleasant surprise. The family all devoured the lambs shanks and vegetables specially prepared in advance for our late supper/dinner on arriving there. The breakfast was also a 'full house' and done according to our preferences. Delicious! We only stayed overnight and could not enjoy the full hospitality of the place. A wonderful week-end retreat and stress-breaker. Go for it."

"Have no problem with recommending Mymering to any traveller.Excellent.One night was not enough!!"
"A very pleasant 'family' style welcome greeted us at this peaceful, well thought out country setting. The accommodation was sumptious & luxurious, affording privacy when one wanted it. However, the communal yet intimate 'dinner party' on the verandah of the main house in the evening was tremendous fun with great food & wines supported by Craig's ammusing tales of 'derring do' to entertain all!"
"WE WERE REALLY WELL LOOKED AFTER AND EVEN THO' THERE WERE POWER CUTS, A THREE COURSE DINNER WAS SERVED WITH APLOMB!! IT IS A REAL'SWITCH OFF ' PLACE IN ITS LITTLE OASIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KLEIN KAROO. A TWO NIGHT STOPOVER IS ESSENTIAL!!"
"A beautiful place to stay.Such welcoming hosts and charming, comfortable accommodation."
"We just came back from a 24-day trip through the Western Cape. We stayed at 12 different venues during our trip, and without a doubt, the best place we stayed during the whole trip, was MYMERING ESTATE GUEST HOUSE. All our accommodation for the whole trip has been booked through the internet, and this reservation at Mymering was the only one actually meeting, and surpassing, our expectations. Our only regret was that we were staying only for 1 night! What a wonderful experience!! A combination of everything you have ever dreamed of - peace and tranquility, spectacular mountain views, with fields of lavender and vineyards at the feet of the mountains, wonderful hosts, and comfortable accommodation. Like a piece of Provence, only much better, because it is in our own country! Pam's cooking is also really mouth watering, using her home grown herbs - lavender, rosemary, etc. to make all the dishes smell like heaven, the fresh warm homemade bread with herbs, is to die for!!!We can't wait for the next opportunity to go back there - I think we will just have to create such an opportunity, as soon as possible!Truely an escape to a little corner of heaven!!!!"
