Letaba Junction Guest House is located on the small of the Letaba River, overlooking the water which is home to hippos and crocodiles. The Letaba River, also called Lehlaba, means "sandy river" and starts with the joining of the Great Letaba and Little Letaba Rivers, which then continue their journey as the Letaba River until it becomes a tributary of the Olifants River in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains near South Africa's border with Mozambique.
The guest house offers eight double guest rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, TV with DStv, and Wi-Fi Internet access. Features also include a restaurant on the premises as well as a sports bar and two tennis courts. There are plenty of activities in the surrounding area including game drives, crocodile farms, golf estates, waterfalls, and museums for guests to explore.
"What a gem Letaba Junction Guest House turned out to be! The welcoming staff, the lovely sized, clean, beautifully decorated rooms and the view made for a very pleasant stay. The food served was delicious and the menu outstanding. A definite, recommended place to stay on the banks of Letaba! An unexpected gem!"
