De Villa River Resort

De Villa River Resort is a family friendly Resort situated along the river and a mere 4 km from the Loskop Dam. With many childrens facilities, the Resort is ideal for family vacations and sure to keep the children entertained.

There are 8 well-equipped chalets providing a relaxed place to rest and unwind. Being equipped with air-conditioning, kitchens and private bathrooms the chalets have ample facilities for guests to enjoy. Campsites of 22 with own braaiers and electricity. Camp area has a communal ablution block.

The Resort boasts a fully licenced bar with DStv and restaurant facilities. There is a thatch-roof Lapa with braai facilities that is ideal for private functions. The facilities of the Resort include braai areas, a swimming pools , slides and a jungle gym with trampolines for children.
When not enjoying the facilities available, guests can spend quality time together while taking a stroll along the river banks. The environment of the river creates excellent bird watching and fishing opportunities.

"What a wonderful place for a relaxing weekend. The amenities are basic,however, they are busy with upgrades at the moment and we will be back when they are done. It did rain heavily the entire weekend but was great for family bonding time, card and board games.."

"The resort has the potential to be an awesome getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The problem is that the peace and quiet we expected never materialized as they started blaring music at the pool from 9am every morning till around 6pm, then the pub took over. The music was the same Afrikaans bubblegum junk everyday with no variety and there was no point in asking for it be switched off or turned down, as we were told they are not allowed to switch it off and they just turned to volume back up after a while. Although I think the place has all the makings for a great holiday will I not revisit as I did not get the rest I so desperately needed"

"Themen and and women'toilets needs an upgrade. More showers and toilets are neededfor the lady's and mens room. Overall the place was very nice and peaceful we really enjoyed ourselves. The owners made us feel at home ,they we very friendly"

"The double-story chalet is terrible to stay in if you stay in the ground floor unit. You cannot sleep with the people who's staying in the top unit, walking around in their unit, turning in their bed at night or using the bathroom facilities. And you cannot braai in front of your unit as the other people have to use the same braai unit in front of your stoep."

"Had a lovely view, just next to the river!! The resort is very clean and neat. But the WORST WORST showers ever!!!! Extremely old and horrible. The water doesnt come out, and you can either have hot water or cold water...not a balance of both. Horrible!!"
