Sable Lodge

Sable Lodge is a privately owned game lodge situated within the Greater Mabula Game Reserve and offers a true safari experience only two hours from Johannesburg. It is malaria free and provides private game drives under the supervision of a professional game ranger with the opportunity to see the Big Five.

Ideal for mini golf tours or golf break aways. Play any of the following courses; Element, Zebula, Euphoria and Legends.

The lodge complex which is built under thatch, is designed to blend in with its surrounding wilderness, yet offers all the modern comforts. There are four en-suite chalets, each with its own private entrance and walk-out deck, plus an adjoining clubhouse located next to the splash pool and private braai area. The clubhouse consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a lounge with a pub and wooden deck veranda overlooking the Waterberg and the vast planes of the bushveld surrounding it.

Families and small groups of up to eight people can enjoy the exclusivity provided by the Sable Lodge complex. The lodge is self-catering with an option to have meals at the nearby Mabula restaurant. Rates are quoted for self-catering.

Guests can also participate in other activities such as golf as there are two top-rated courses very close to the lodge, and horseback riding and quad biking in the greater reserve.

    08 January 2018

"They were building next door and the building noises were disrupted. Some general maintenance is required - like replacement of light globes"
