In the eastern section of Mapungubwe National Park, Vhembe Wilderness Camp has been built on a small ridge within a valley, within walking distance of the Limpopo River and Mapungubwe Hill. The cabins provide two single beds each with an en-suite bathroom. The camp runs on solar-generated electricity and no plug points are available in the units. The four units share a central, fully-equipped communal kitchen and lapa. Bookings for activities such as daily guided morning walks and night drives could include walks to rock art sites, the Mapungubwe Heritage Site, dinosaur footprints, the biggest baobab, as well as specialized walks, such as bird viewing.
PLEASE NOTE: the rates are subject to the number of adults and children staying. Quotes will include the 1% Community Levy, but will exclude daily conservation fees, which are to be paid directly to camp on arrival.
