  "My husband and I lived in the main Waterside Flat overlooking the estuary and thoroughly enjoyed our three-week annual vacation in December 2019! So much so we have rebooked the same accommodation with Leslie our friendly host for a three week period in December 2020! Our unit was clean and serviced on a weekly basis whereby the entire unit was spotless on our return from a day out and about. We had fresh linen and towels on a weekly basis. Our only gripe was one set of holidaymakers who lived in the Off Water Flatlet for a few days. Not only were they loud in their communications late into the night. They seemed to have sneaked a third party into their unit which is clearly meant for a couple only! Peace was restored once they vacated the premises.We would highly recommend Waterways to holidaymakers looking for a little piece of heaven on earth. One can paddle around the estuary or walk on the island (entrance at the end of the road) Complex is safe and secure and close to all amenities and surfers corner and more! Waterways is home away from home for us!Thank you Leslie for your professionalism, warmth shown to us and for the excellent service."

  "I loved walking on the island and interacting with the locals walking their dogs. Got some good photographs of birds and visited Strandfontein Sewarage Works and Rondevlei Bird Sanctuary.Small point there was no egg lifter in our more than adequate kitchen."

  "We had a warm welcome, very friendly hosts. The flatlet was spotlessly clean, we pretty soon felt home. It has an amazing view on the water and the mountain. We enjoyed our daily boot trip! Very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere."

  "the house is OK, it has things that you need for a normal stay, but nothing to mention as special. A small over the counter grill that has  two hot plates for your minimal cooking. The only positive thing about it is over clean ness of the house, and proximity to water. The house has a nice view from Marina Da Gama waters. Nicely located in the northhand side of the waters that os less windy. Try not to get the off water flat, as it is very small and now views to nowhere, even no appropriate lighting. Overall the houseware are designed to be as less as possible for the visitor to have an acceptable stay at the house. Don't expect receiving cleaning service, shampoo and soaps, or enough cooking pots, cuttlery or glassery for your cookings. If you decide to go there bring all you need for cooking or taking showers. Don't expect special treatment, which is common to all other places we stayed in the way from johannesburg to cape town in 6 places, you are a simple customer; you are paying the fee and getting the keys. One more thing, bargain for price as if you don't do it you will easily be charged by a higher fee than stated in the initial fee shown in the website. If I find somewhere else next time I won't go there again. We had another place in Marina Da Gama, but it was booked for the rest of our stay, so we had to move somewhere else, that's why we had to go to waterways. Waterways was highly overcharged than the other place, but we had no other choice."
