Ilala Palm Park
Ilala Palm Park is a 35-hectare property situated about 6 km west of Mbazwana, on the road to Jozini. The habitat consists of sand forest and grassland areas, the ideal home for various bird life.
There are six campsites available, each with their own ablution facilities, a power point and a washing up area with hot water. The grassy campsites vary in size and most have sufficient shade. Take a dip in the swimming pool on those hot summer days.
The campsite alone is a birders paradise with bird baths dotted around, attracting a large variety of bushveld birds. Here you can relax in total peace and quiet, with only the birds and the fellow campers for company.

10 January 2016"<div>This is the most restful place to stay for privacy, peace and tranquillity.</div><div>The bird viewing was very rewarding and the dawn/dusk chorus was great.</div><div>Having one's own toilet,shower and kitchen sink set up for each campsite(only 6 sites) was luxury for camping. It is a real treat.</div><div>We felt very safe there as well.</div><div>The owners Jorrie and Adri,are themost receptive kindestpeople wehave met in a long time. Always available and even let us look at the birds from their stoep, eating on the bird feeder and bath. It is also a good stop off point between Mkuze and Ndumo game reserves. 06 February 2015"The camp-sites all seemed large and private with the private ablutions per camp-site an added bonus. The hosts Jorrie and Adri were also friendly and helpful. Although my stay was quite brief it was very pleasant."

04 September 2014"We loved the privacy that the park provided - having your own private ablution block is a luxury seldom found. The park is clean and well maintained, hosts friendly without being overbearing. It is a good central point and we were able to do day trips to Mkuze, Hluhluwe / Umfolozi as well as Tembe and Kozi Bay and still return to camp without being exhausted."
