The Kite House

The Kite House is a beautiful modern house situated in the upper village with all the extra comforts to make your stay enjoyable. The property is North-facing, which makes it unique for all seasons as you experience the rhythm and magic of each season with snow capped mountains in winter, shades of orange and red in Autumn, blossoms and beautiful roses in Spring and freshly grown grapes in Summer.

The expansive open plan living area has big stack-back doors that open up to the stoep, for the summer evenings there is a free standing braai on the stoep and for the cooler winter nights there is a beautiful fireplace in the lounge where you can curl up under the warm blankets with a glass of local wines. In the Main House there are 2 Bedrooms of which 1 is en-suite and the second bedroom has a loo and outside shower. Private enclosed courtyard with beautiful water feature and front garden of olive trees.
There is a lovely self contained outside room for 2 people with 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom including basic kitchenette with kettle, toaster and small bar fridge (bed only option and not self-catering).
The Kite House is part of the Mira Development and is a private sanctuary. Please be respectful and honour the silence of the communal gardens and the owners holiday home. Due to this we do not allow parties or large group gatherings

"This was the second time that we stayed at the Kite House, the house is beautiful and a nice space to relax and entertain. The second time around there was a few things that detracted from our stay:1. When we arrived the veranda and outside furniture was covered in bird dropping (old and fresh), which we had to clean up to make use of the furniture.2. The grass was long and the garden was overgrown with weeds3. We could not make use of the pool (one of the reasons why we had decided to stay at The Kite House), due to the pool being murky and dirty. It also became apparent that the pool was leaking and the water level had dropped considerately.4. The water in the main house was cold and we had to take cold showers and boil water to wash the dishes (this was also a issue that we had experienced from our previous visit)If not for the list above, we would have had a perfect weekend at The Kite House.I will think twice before booking the Kite House again in the future."
